But with nearly 4 trillion people calling themselves a colourist, you've got a problem.

How do you know…

…if they're any good?

…what they're like to work with?

…their rate and availability?

Let's make this easy, then, eh?

Walk with me.

Here's my rates

There's no one fixed daily rate, because each project is different in value, timeline and requirements. For example:

A social promo for a small business, that can be graded for a single flat file, with a natural look, within a two-week window…

A broadcast documentary that needs a full conform, cleanup work, frame rate handling, (attended) grade, online and broadcast deliverables…

A short film that involves look dev and a more collaborative grade, but with limited budget…

…all have different requirements of time, expertise and resources.

Get in touch with the details of your project and I'll provide you with a quote. One with the scope to match your budget and requirements.

As a rough guide, though, my rates are between £400-£600/day + VAT.

Am I the right colourist for you?

I like to be open and transparent, like a good window.

I specialise in grading dailies, documentaries and branded content.

Here's 3 things you might want to factor into whether we're a fit.

I prefer to work remotely if possible. It's not essential, but it means I can do the school run. Means I can be more flexible for you, too, when it comes to tweaks and extra edits days later.

I work in Resolve. I use Daylight a lot, but you probably won't want to pay for my Baselight skills just yet.

I've not done much paid HDR work. It's very easy to deliver HDR wrong. You don't want someone 'having a go' when it's your money, reputation and clients at stake.
